ALL NEW: I fixed the blog link

Hello from Dylan Hicks. I'm a writer-editor at City Pages in Minneapolis. I'm also the Dylan Hicks who used to lead the marginally successful rock band Dylan Hicks and Golf-Ball Sized Boogie. I'm not the Dylan Hicks who plays basketball or the Dylan Hicks who runs some sort of computer outfit. Someday I will write a novel, which, if I've read my contract correctly, will be warmly reviewed by Minneapolis City Pages.

I mostly write reviews of plays and records and movies and books, and sometimes I write a "culture piece." Here's a link to most of my stuff for City Pages. I freelance from time to time, too, so look for my byline in Car & Driver and Ham Radio Operator. If there's something you'd like me to see or hear or read, email me at my
work address. For correspondence of a less businesslike nature, see below.

Not a lot happens on this website, but one never knows, I might throw something new up every fortnight or seven. I'm not playing music semi-professionally anymore, but I haven't ruled out the possibility of performing again someday. Probably not any time soon, though. I think my records are technically out of print, but used copies shouldn't be terribly hard to find. I liked the third one, "Alive With Pleasure," the best.

This innovative feature of dylanhicks.com allows you to communicate directly with the artist himself. It may take Dylan several minutes to get back to you, as he is very busy.
