Long had I suspected that Nina was cheating on me, despite my reportedly “exquisite six-foot-four frame” (Night Beat, January, 1991) and my passion for housework (three hours daily), so rare for my gender. To learn in this painfully impersonal fashion that I am being cuckolded, apparently in my favorite pastel heels no less, is almost too much to endure.
