We LOVE romantic comedies. The last movie we saw was "Failure to Launch." Hey for all: one of my favorite movies of all time is "rififi" It's pretty amazing including a very long heist sequence entirely without sound, just like you would pull a heist.

Those were just the harder-to-find titles we rented. For the sake of full disclosure (and in case that sounded elitist), we also rent our share of shoot-'em-ups and corny romantic comedies.

In loving memory of the old neighborhood video stores, I have to say that we're hooked on NetFlix. Sometimes, there's a bit of a wait for new releases (people can put their names in long before it's even released on DVD, so get your name in for movies that are currently in the theaters), but the depth of the selection and availability will bring tears to your eyes (the first week or two, we rented Fog of War, How Green Was My Valley, episodes of The Young Ones, Off the Charts: The Song Poem Story, a couple of American Experience episodes and an old SuperFriends cartoon for the kids). We have a little independent video store near us with the tattered old out-of-print VHS tapes and we miss the young Tarantino-in-training assistant manager at our local Hollywood Video, but the late fees got us, too.
