Perceptions of Art
We’re in NYC for about 5 days and spent half a day at MoMA yesterday. It’s always funny to see famous pieces in perspective. For example Salvador Dali’s The Persistence of Memory is small! It’s 9.5×13 inches. It’s still luminous and glorious though. People always talk about this with The Mona Lisa also, and that one is also small with similar crowds trying to get to it, which makes it seem even smaller. Sam Gillison recommended eating at their restaurant The Modern on her blog, and boy! it was yummy.
