This is what happens when you don’t back up your blog
Notice how the last post was in 2006? Two years ago? Something happened and two years of blogging dissappeared. I think I made a back-up once, and so that is what you now see below. I suppose I can see this as ok, because I had slowly dropped to very intermittent posting, but was blogging almost daily for about a year there. But I really should redo the links - to Dylan’s stories and such.
The update on Dylan Hicks. He’s writing a novel, and having a very good time doing it. He’s a had a few stories published from the period last year when he was working on short stories. He’s not performing music anymore, but you can still find the 3 early CD’s used on the interwebs. He doesn’t have a Facebook, Myspace, or other page. He also doesn’t have a cell phone or watch TV. But he does work on a computer, drive a car, eat meat, etc.
My (Nina’s) current favorite bands are The Heavy, and Jose Gonzalez, and I freakin’ love the song “Kids” by the group MGMT.

Hi Nina - I’m just a blog lurker and Dylan Hicks fan and I don’t usually comment, but I had to mention that In Our Nature is my current favorite record. Thanks for the update on Dylan’s work.

Nina - Just working at home and listening to my I Tunes when Cry Baby Crusade comes on. I forgot how much I loved Dylan’s music. Decided to look him up on the web to see if he’s released any new music and stumbled on this blog. Bummer that Dylan’s not writing any new music, he’s always been a rare talent in my eyes, even if it went unrecognized by most. I heard he was writing for a paper or teaching, or something like that. I’m sure his book will be great based on his writing skills, wit and imaginations. Wish him the best from me and I’m glad he found a cool and soulful partner
