Why am I wasting time inside blogging?

It is a glorious, stupendous day in Mpls, and I want to take the whole day off, go on lazy bike rides, stop at the garden store for morning glories and plant them in the yard with my kid. Instead I am at the office wasting time blogging instead of cruising through work. But I am being amused by Dylan in his brown linen suit doing Prince imitations as we listen to the new album “3121.”
The album is great but has some very goofy lyrics, including one with “japanese robes, slippers and coffee cups with chocolate handles.” Dylan has his own variation with our address highlighting terry robes and coffee cups with broken handles. There is a very funny smoking gun expose on the lawsuit against Prince for the makeover he did on the rented house in the CD.

I guess it’s champagne glasses with chocolate handles, which is strange ’cause I don’t recall champagne flutes having handles. My favorite lyric from that song, though is:
“Butterflies scared that they´re gonna be awake all night long.
Dancing in your belly, like a ballerina.
In spite of your efforts to calm them down.”
How many funk tunes have successfully employed the phrase “in spite of your efforts”?
